In this playful series of painterly collages on paper artist Rachel Hogg seeks to bring a little something to brighten your home and welcome in the joy and beauty that can be found in the natural world. From a distance these works are loud, bold, full of colour and fun. Creations triumphant proclamation that the world is alive and good. Yet, up close the works are characterised by intimate free-flowing strokes of paint and hand cut shapes which emphasise the cherished and personal relationship the artist has with the plants, fungi and flowers that inspire her work.
